Stranded Copper Electrical Wire 3.5mm2 5.5mm2 8mm2 14mm2 22mm2 30mm2 38mm2 PVC Wire
Stranded copper core polyvinyl chloride (PVC) electrical wires are a type of conductor widely used in electrical systems, covering various cross-sectional area specifications such as 3.5mm², 5.5mm², 8mm², 14mm², 22mm², 30mm², and 38mm², suitable for electrical connection scenarios with different power requirements. In terms of structure, the core of such wires is a stranded copper conductor, which is formed by stranding multiple thin copper wires. Compared with solid copper conductors, the stranded structure significantly improves the flexibility and fatigue resistance of the wire, making it easier to bend, drag, and install, especially suitable for scenarios requiring frequent movement or complex laying paths. It also reduces the risk of conductor breakage caused by vibration or temperature changes. The outer layer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation has excellent electrical insulation performance, which can effectively insulate current and prevent short-circuit and leakage accidents. At the same time, PVC material also has properties such as acid and alkali resistance, oil resistance, and wear resistance, which can resist erosion from various environmental factors and extend the service life of the wire. Wires with different cross-sectional areas correspond to different current-carrying capacities and application scenarios: 3.5mm² and 5.5mm² specifications: With moderate current-carrying capacity, they are often used in branch circuits of homes and small commercial places, such as lighting systems, power supply lines for small household appliances (washing machines, refrigerators, etc.), and connections for weak current equipment. 8mm² and 14mm² specifications: Suitable for medium-power equipment, they can be used as power supply lines for air conditioners, electric water heaters, small motors, etc., and are also commonly used in lighting main lines and socket circuits in commercial buildings. 22mm², 30mm², and 38mm² specifications: These are large cross-sectional area wires with strong current-carrying capacity, mainly used in high-power scenarios such as industrial equipment, large power devices, and distribution main lines, such as production line motors in factories and incoming lines of main distribution boxes in buildings. The performance advantages of such wires are also reflected in temperature adaptability. The PVC insulation layer can usually work stably in an environment of -15℃ to 70℃, meeting the needs of most indoor and outdoor dry or humid (non-immersed) environments. Its color identification is clear, commonly including red, blue, yellow, green, etc., which is convenient for distinguishing live wires, neutral wires, and ground wires, reducing the risk of installation errors. During production and use, the products must comply with international and industry standards, such as relevant specifications of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) or GB (National Standards), to ensure that indicators such as conductor resistance, insulation thickness, and voltage resistance meet the standards. During installation, the appropriate cross-sectional area should be selected according to the specific load power to avoid accelerated aging of the insulation layer or overheating of the conductor due to overload. At the same time, attention should be paid to keeping away from high-temperature heat sources and sharp objects to ensure the safe and stable operation of the electrical system.
