1.5mm² /2.5mm² Flexible Copper Wire 450/750V PVC Insulated
The 1.5mm²/2.5mm² flexible copper wire, as an electrical connection carrier with both flexibility and reliability, features a rated voltage of 450/750V and a PVC insulation layer. It is widely applicable to low and medium-load electrical scenarios such as home decoration, office equipment, and small industrial machinery. Its unique flexible design and stable performance make it an ideal choice in wiring projects.
In terms of specifications, the two types of wires accurately cover different power requirements. The conductor of the 1.5mm² wire is stranded with multiple 0.15mm fine copper wires, with an overall cross-sectional area of 1.5mm². At room temperature, the DC resistance is ≤12.1Ω/km, and the allowable continuous current-carrying capacity is 16A, which is sufficient to support the stable power supply of lighting fixtures and small household appliances (such as microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners). The 2.5mm² wire adopts a stranded structure of thicker copper wires, with a cross-sectional area of 2.5mm², a DC resistance of ≤7.41Ω/km, and a current-carrying capacity increased to 25A, which can meet the electricity demand of high-power household appliances such as air conditioners and electric water heaters. The rated voltage of 450/750V is much higher than the 220V standard voltage in homes and offices, providing sufficient safety margin for voltage fluctuations and preventing damage to the insulation layer due to overvoltage.
The PVC insulation layer is crucial for its performance guarantee. This material has excellent corrosion resistance, which can resist moisture, dust, and slight chemical erosion in daily environments. At the same time, the insulation resistance is ≥100MΩ, which can effectively prevent the risk of electric leakage. The insulation layer has a uniform thickness (0.8mm for 1.5mm² and 1.0mm for 2.5mm²), with a smooth surface and clear marks, including wire specifications, rated voltage, certification marks, and meter scales. It not only facilitates quick identification during construction but also reduces friction loss during pipe laying.
The flexible design is a prominent advantage of this wire. The stranded technology of multiple fine copper wires makes its minimum bending radius only 4 times the outer diameter of the cable, which can easily cope with wiring needs in narrow spaces such as corner turns and behind furniture. The conductor remains intact after repeated bending. For example, in home decoration, it can be hidden in wall gaps or under the floor, avoiding construction difficulties caused by stiff wires; in office equipment, it can flexibly deform with the slight movement of equipment components, reducing line fatigue damage.
The application scenarios are diversified. In the household field, 1.5mm² wires are often used in lighting circuits and socket branch lines, while 2.5mm² wires dominate the main circuits of high-power electrical appliances in kitchens and bathrooms. In office scenarios, it can connect to power interfaces of printers, projectors, and other equipment. Its flexible feature facilitates hidden wiring along gaps in desks and cabinets. In small industrial environments, it is suitable for control lines of equipment such as assembly line conveyor motors and small air compressors, withstanding line pulling caused by slight vibrations.
In addition, the wire has passed the GB/T 5023.3 standard certification. The insulation layer has an oxygen index of ≥28, with self-extinguishing properties, which can quickly flame retardant when exposed to open flames and delay the spread of fire. Each roll of wire is available in 100-meter and 200-meter lengths, supporting cutting according to actual needs to reduce material waste. In summary, with the triple advantages of "flexibility + safety + adaptability", this wire balances construction convenience and electrical safety, making it the preferred wiring solution for low and medium-load scenarios.
